WHAT DOES "SAPONIFIED OILS" MEAN

In the description of the soap ingredient label we use the term "saponified oils" to represent that the oils have been changed to soap using the process of saponification.  Saponification is the chemical reaction created by combining oils or fats with an alkali and water.  At Raw Urth Soap Company we use the Cold Process Method.  Aside from the heat used to melt the solid fats to a liquid state, the heat produced by combining the precisely weighted oils and fats, alkali and water is sufficient to initiate the chemical reaction. Saponification is complete after the soap mixture has been poured into molds, cut into bars and allowed to cure for several weeks.

ALLERGIES AND ADVERSE REACTIONS

Always read the description of the product you are buying to avoid any allergic and or adverse reaction.  We suggest trying any product on a small area first before using it on large areas.  The description of all products are meant to be used as reference only.  The statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.

HOW ARE YOUR SOAPS PACKAGED?

Our handmade soaps come packaged in 100% recyclable/compostable/bio-degradable paper stock.  Salt soaps and bath bombs are shrink wrapped to prevent them from "sweating" or losing efficiency as they are humectants and draw moisture from the air.

WHAT IS RAW URTH'S RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY?

All sales are final.  Raw Urth Soap Company does not offer any returns or exchanges or provide refunds due to the personal nature of our products.  If there is an issue with your order you have 7 days from he day your purchased was delivered to contact us regarding your order issue.  Once orders are processed and shipped we cannot cancel orders or accept returns.  If there is a problem or we have made an error, please contact us and we will do our best to solve it.  Raw Urth Soap Company is not responsible for products affected by warm or cold weather climate or for mishandling by USPS and as such will not be replaced by Raw Urth Soap Company.

HOW ARE YOUR ITEMS SHIPPED?

We ship orders using United States Postal Service.   This allows us to track and/or insure packages shipped for your protection.

If you are in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and would like to pick up your order, please chose the pick up option at checkout and we will coordinate a pick up time.  Your order will not be shipped and shipping charges will not be applied.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

Orders will be shipped on Wednesday Thursday or Friday with the exception of holidays.  Once your order has been submitted to USPS it may take up to 10 business days to arrive.

USPS SAID MY PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED BUT I DIDN'T RECEIVE IT.  WHAT DO I DO?

Once your order has even packages, submitted and processed by the USPS we must follow the direction of the USPS for order delivery issues.  Tracking information is issued for these purposes.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

WHAT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY ORDER?
